How many of you feel like you are constantly chasing time throughout the day? Whether it is to workout, make a dinner that isn’t a pre-packaged frozen meal, read the book that has started to collect dust on your nightstand, or just relax with your own thoughts for five minutes and breathe?
Motivation is not something that always comes easily. We have long days, tough schedules, family responsibilities, commitments and more. The good thing about this is you’re not alone. There are plenty of days when it feels like you’re running on empty or your tank is completely out of gas and even that third cup of coffee isn’t doing the trick.
Now let me set up a familiar scenario for you. It’s a rainy and dreary morning, your room is completely dark and the pitter patter of rain on your window is soothing you back into a deep sleep. You have ten minutes until that familiar melodic shrill of your alarm erupts through the room and you need to start your day. Instead of feeling the immediate urge to reach over and hit (or slam) the snooze button, take a sip of water. Wake your brain up as soon as your alarm goes off and pull yourself out of bed. It may seem small but changes like this can lead to bigger ones, and in time you can create a completely new lifestyle.
We want to help you identify and make these changes to enhance your quality of life and set you on a different path. Now of course that road will be bumpy and life will get in the way but transparency is key. We’re all human and no matter how hard we try, there will be setbacks. We’ll be here when times get hard and be a support system for you.
Our family has always had a love for fitness and eating well. We cook healthy meals together, share workouts and recipes and have a deeper bond because of this lifestyle. We want to share this bond with all of you and hopefully, teach and inspire you along the way.
